The Wales 10k Itinerary


The Long Course Weekend is hugely popular, and with so much going on in the build up as well as during the race, being at the right place at the right time for events related to The Wales 10k can be tough.

So we've made things simple for you... to work out where you need to be and when you can see the best of the action, simply check out our itinerary of events below.

Please be aware that the details below are based on 2016, and information may change closer to the event.


Thursday 6th July

12:00 - 8:00pm - Registration Open (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
Only the athlete themselves may collect their race number/goodie bag and will be required to produce photographic identification when registering.

We strongly urge anyone who is able to register on Thursday to do so. This will reduce queues and give you a more relaxed weekend!

3:00pm onwards - LCW Seminar Begins (De Valence Cafe, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
We have a number of talks going on to give athletes the best advice and skills to help them have a fantastic race. Speakers will include Mark from Mike's Bikes, former Champion Dominic Rphan-Gates, and 4 time Ironman Champion Lucy Gossage.


Friday 7th July

10:00 - 8:00pm - Registration Open (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
Only the athlete themselves may collect their race number/goodie bag and will be required to produce photographic identification and a signed disclaimer when registering.

*The Wales 10k athletes are welcome to register on Friday, but priority will be given to Long Course and Swim athletes between 4:00-6:00pm.

10:00 - 8:00pm - Race Expo (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
The race expo is free to enter for athletes and the general public. It will showcase specialist swimming, cycling and running exhibitors and will be a great place to check out the latest products or update your kit.

12:00 - 8:00pm - Sports Massage (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
15 - 20 minute massage sessions will be available in the De Valence Pavilion.


Saturday 8th July

5:30am - 8:00pm - Registration Open (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
Only the athlete themselves may collect their race number/goodie bag and will be required to produce photographic identification when registering.

*The Wales 10k athletes are welcome to register on Saturday, but priority will be given to Sportive athletes between 5:30-11:30am.

10:00am - 8:00pm - Race Expo (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
The race expo is free to enter for athletes and the general public. It will showcase specialist swimming, cycling and running exhibitors and will be a great place to check out the latest products or update your kit.

9:00am - 9:00pm - Sports Massage (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
15-20 minute massage sessions will be available in the De Valence Pavilion.

6:00pm onwards - Pasta Party (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
The pasta party will take place in the De Valence Pavilion - to book your tickets, please call us on 01437 765 777


Sunday 9th July

7:00am - 10:30am - Registration Open - The Wales 10k (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)

*All Wales 10k athletes MUST register in the De Valence on Sunday, unless they have already registered on Friday or Saturday.

7:00am - 5:00pm - Sports Massage (De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby)
15-20 minute massage sessions will be available.

11:00am - Wales 10k Coaches Leave
Coaches will leave for Manorbier with The Wales 10k athletes and supporters

12:45pm - Wales 10k Briefing (Approx) (Manorbier Castle, Manorbier)
All athletes must attend the pre-event safety briefing.

1:30pm - THE WALES 10k (Manorbier Castle, Manorbier)
Athletes will begin The Wales 10k from Manorbier Castle, and run towards Tenby. The cut off time for athletes is 4:00pm in Tudor Square, Tenby.

12:30pm - First Athlete Back (Tudor Square, Tenby)
The first Wales Marathon athlete will be expected back on Tudor Square at approximately this time, with athletes from the half marathon and Wales 10k to follow.
